Chartwells Balanced Choices for Healthy Students





What is "Chartwells Balanced Choices for Healthy Students" all about?
Online nutrition course developed for the K-12 Schools Division of Compass by Framingham State College as a continuation to the Nutrition Fundamentals course with a child nutrition focus. This course consists of 5-1 hour modules with a competency test at the end of each module. Each of the five lessons addresses a topic that is fundamental to the success of a school nutrition program. The topics include: National School Lunch and Breakfast Program regulations, nutrition issues common to school meal programs, menu planning to maximize nutritional value, quantity food production principles, and marketing school food service programs.
Prerequisite: You must complete Nutrition Fundamentals for Balanced Choices before you may register to take Balanced Choices for Healthy Students.

Who should attend "Chartwells Balanced Choices for Healthy Students" ?
All K-12 school associates at food service director level and above are required to complete both courses. Other associates can take the courses with district manager approval.
